To reserve your seat on a 2012 Rick Steves tour, you'll pay a $400 deposit. The remainder (your "tour balance") will be due 60 days before your tour departs.
Here is where you can save some extra money. Your "final tour balance" will be calculated assuming you'll pay with a credit card. But your invoice will also list an alternative balance that charges 2.5% less if you choose to pay by check or money order.
Some people like to pay by credit card to build up their airline miles or rewards; others enjoy having a little extra money in their pocket.
When it's time to pay your tour balance...we'll leave this happy choice up to you!
Fine print: The exact amount of your 2.5% discount will appear in your tour invoice, based on the tour price minus your deposit and any other discounts. We'll email you a tour invoice at least four months before your tour departs so you'll have plenty of time to decide which payment method works best for you. Personal checks must be in U.S. dollars drawn from a U.S. bank account. For security reasons, we cannot accept credit card payments via email. See our Tour Conditions Agreement for complete payment specifics.
